There are actually a lot of ways to decoupage on wood if you are very creative in your chosen project then you can barely make good project out of it. When you do it on wood make sure first that you have all the materials you need before you start working to make use of the time. First, clean up and make the wood smooth and free from any dust. If you plan to cover all the wood you don’t need to do some painting style anymore to avoid some stain.

Secrets of Affiliate Marketing

If you want to get started quickly and easily making money online, then affiliate marketing is for you. Affiliate marketing means that all you do is sendtraffic to someone else’s website, they do everything else! (make the product, design the sale page, handle the billing and support, etc.), and you get a percentage of the sale price as your commission (usually 50% or more for digital products).

The benefits of this are

You can get started right away because you don’t have to make a product, craft a sales letter, develop the website, create marketing materials, or set up the ordering, billing & delivery system.

You have basically zero investment of your time because they handle the billing, support, maintenance, etc.

There’s no risk for you, because the product owner has already done all the research , development and testing. So you know that your traffic will result in sales.

Obviously affiliate marketing makes sense – these benefits make it a clear winner!

OK, but it’s not all rosy…

Once you send your visitors to the product sales page, they are gone forever. Unfortunately, the majority of those visitors (at least 90%) will not buy on their first visit. The 10% or less that make a purchase now belong to the product owner. She can sell them additional products, but you can never sell to them again.

What’s the solution?

It’s simple: You must get your visitors’ email addresses before you send them to the product owner’s website. This way you can follow up with them and keep sending them back to the sales page to increase your chances of making the sale. And if you’re really on top of your game, you’ll then send to a content mini-site in between.

Here’s what these affiliate marketing strategies will do for you:

By building your own list, you’re creating a renewable resource that you can tap again and again for instant profits.

By providing great content without a sales pitch, you put them in a buying mood. So when you do send them to the product website, they’re much more likely to buy.

In order to set a system like this up, you will need the following affiliate marketing tools:

A squeeze page, and even better a Video squeeze page.

Several high-quality content pages

A multi-part email series with at least 5 emails in it

You’ll use the squeeze page as the place to send your visitors instead of using the product website. It captures the name and email of your visitors and puts them into your autoresponder, which then begins sending out the 5-part email series. Once your visitors have been subscribed to your email series, they are sent to your content pages.

These high-quality content pages provide value and build good will. This way your visitor is more likely to buy when they get to the product owner’s website. And even if they don’t buy on the first visit, your email series sends them back to the product sales page again and again to increase your sales.

Putting all of these pieces together will increase your sales by 500% or more, so it’s obviously worth the time and energy to do it. And once it’s set up, it runs automatically – you just send visitors to the squeeze page, instead of the product website.

If you don’t have the time or expertise to set it all up yourself, you can use something like Affiliate Silver Bullet. Services like this design the enter system (the video, the video squeeze page, the email series, the content pages, etc). On the plus side, you’ll save a ton of time and money vs. trying to build this yourself. Plus you can get started instantly. The drawback is that you won’t be the only one using these affiliate tools. But the internet is huge, so this shouldn’t really affect you.

The other route you can take is to hire people on Elance to create and implement the various aspects for you. Either way, it’s an important step that you need to take if you’re going to be serious about your affiliate marketing.

I have been to many arts and craft fairs and festivals in my life and theres one thing I notice in all of them. They are busy and they are making money. So I decided to search on how to make money on it. If you pay attention to whats going on at these fairs and festivals, youll notice that people buy these crafts. I thought to myself Why cant I do this? Well, guess what, I can do this and I do.

Let me tell you how I got started in doing arts and crafts and how to make money with it. After I visited many of the arts and crafts fairs and festivals, I went home and decided get some e-books on making arts and crafts. I also done some research on how to make money with it. The first e-book I got was about soap making. I got this e-book because at the last arts and crafts festival I was at, the soaps was the biggest sellers. I read the e-book and learned how to make soap. I got to work on making soap for the nest arts and craft festival. I didnt want to make a lot of soap at first for fear of not selling it all. Well, I made about 100 bars of soap and asked a friend if I can sell at his book. He said yes. I ended up selling 75 bars of soap. I made a nice little profit from selling the soap.

<A HREF=”http://ws.amazon.com/widgets/q?ServiceVersion=20070822&MarketPlace=US&ID=V20070822%2FUS%2Fmoneyscholarc-20%2F8009%2F4e4d3c39-8b27-494b-8ee8-9269c52a9174&Operation=NoScript”>Amazon.com Widgets</A>

After that arts and crafts festival, I went home and got a few more e-books. I got about gel candle making, bath salt making and perfume making. I read all the e-books and got busy with making some more soap, and I started to make perfume, bath salt and gel candles. With the research that I did by going to the arts and crafts fairs and festival, I found out what was hot to sell now.

Anyway, I went back to another arts and crafts festival and ended up getting my own booth. I ended up selling all but 10 bars of soap, selling all the bath salt I made, selling all but 1 gel candle and I sold all perfume I made. That weekend I made about $500 with only putting in $100 in products. I was happy. So I went home and ended up get another e-book. I got how to make a wind chime e-book. Well, to make this long story short, I read the e-book made some wind chimes for another arts and crafts festival. I ended up selling all of the wind chimes.

Decoupage is the fine art of cutting and pasting paper onto ordinary objects in order to create unique items for the home or as gifts. Anyone, from small children to the elderly, can enjoy this fun and creative pastime and nearly any object can serve as a medium for decoupage. These include picture frames, boxes, furniture, containers, ornaments, vases, lamp shades, birdhouses and many more.
Getting Started

Here are the supplies you will need to craft your very own do-it-yourself project:

? Paper (such as wrapping paper or custom decoupage paper), photographs from magazines, books, newspapers, or fabric
? Cutting implements such as an X-acto knife, utility knife and/or scissors
? Glue such as Elmer’s or specialty decoupage glue like Collage Pauge or Mod Pouge
? Brayer or popsicle sticks to smooth down your material as you are gluing everything together
? Varnish to make your project smooth and shiny
? Damp rag to keep your workstation and hands clean

*Remember to supervise children as they create their special projects, especially while they are using sharp cutting tools.

Deciding What To Decoupage
The best way to learn decoupage is by starting on simple projects and working your way up to more complex pieces. Items such as pencil boxes and inexpensive picture frames found at hobby and craft stores are a great way to learn the ins and outs of the craft. If you make a mistake you can simply start over or recycle it and start again until it looks the way you envisioned. Once you have mastered decorating little things, you can move on to big things like coffee tables or decorative lamp shades.

Whatever you decide to create, you can take great pleasure knowing that your items for the home, the office or friends were lovingly handmade using a few household items and your own imagination.

Blue Hills Design creates splendid

Here are some varied ideas for new decoupage projects. We’ve even included some children’s projects as well.

Boxes

Boxes provide interesting results when done with decoupage. A variety of boxes are available in craft stores. A box should be given two or three thin coats of an oil based paint as a base and at least three coats of varnish to finish. The final coat can be rubbed with dampened emery cloth for a fine, soft, matte finish.

When lining a box with fabric, put the seam at the front of the box. When the box is opened, you can see the back “wall” of the box but not the front one where the seam is.

If lining a box without overlapping the fabric onto a piece of cardboard, glue the pieces of fabric on to the sides and then glue decorative braid along the top edge to hide the raw edge.

Lining a box finishes it well, especially a jewelry box or a trinket box. To line a box cut a piece of sturdy cardboard to fit into the bottom. It should fall in and out easily, without catching on the sides. Cut a piece of wadding the same size as the cardboard. Cut a piece of fabric about an inch larger on all sides than the cardboard. Put the fabric face down on the table with the wadding and then the cardboard on top. Cut the corners off diagonally so that you don’t have a bulge at the corner. Pull one edge of the fabric up onto the cardboard and glue it down. Bring each side of the fabric up onto the cardboard and glue down. To glue this padded shape into the box, run a line of glue on the box bottom close to the sides. Push the padded shape down into the box and press firmly.

Soft flock can be used to give a box a soft, flocked interior and comes in a variety of colors. It’s a good idea to paint the inside of the box a similar color.

Soft flock comes in two parts. There is a colored glue in a bottle, paint this inside the box. Sprinkle the flock pieces generously into the box. Close the box and shake vigorously. Pour out any excess onto a piece of clean paper. Use the paper as a funnel to put the excess back into the bottle. If you want to flock the inside of the box but not the lid of the box, insert a piece of cardboard between the box and lid, close the lid and shake. When you remove the cardboard, the lid will be clean and the box will be flocked.

Picture Frames

Picture frames make ideal gifts. Or you can use decoupage to brighten up a cheap frame. As you need to see how the frame will look once upright, it’s a good idea to attach your cutouts with tiny pieces of masking tape to work out their positioning.

Remember to remove the back and glass before beginning work. Use your fingers to wrap your cutouts over the edges of the frame. To ensure that you cover your frame completely with varnish, you may want to prop it up. You can use dowels rods as a frame and balance your picture frame across them. Make sure that you have newspaper below to catch any drips and gently wipe drips from the underside with a cloth. Leave it in position for a couple of days to dry thoroughly.

Candles

Mark your design on the candle. If the candle is wrapped, remove the wrapper to a quarter inch more than the design area. If it isn’t wrapped, mask off the area to be left plain with paper and fasten with tape. Lightly sand the area to be painted and remove dust with a cloth. Apply two thin coats of oil-based varnish to the uncovered area. If you’re placing images on a painted background, sponge on a couple of coats of gesso. Don’t sand and allow to dry between coats. Sponge on background colors and allow to dry. Finish with up to five coats of varnish, lightly sanding between the last two coats. Using a craft knife, remove the wrapper and tape. Finish the cut edge with ribbon or braid.

Children’s Projects

Decoupage is a craft that is easy enough for children to be involved in. With their small fingers, children are often capable of very fine work with practice. However, depending on the age and ability of the child, you may want to make a few allowances. It’s best to think it through so that they can work with your guidance, but actually perform each step themselves.

Boys as well as girls can enjoy decoupage, and as many young boys are fascinated with small and fiddly items, they can be particularly adept at this sort of work. Decoupage can be helpful in developing hand-eye co-ordination as well as powers of concentration. Once they have been introduced to the techniques, most children can be left to do projects alone, so long as someone is available for advice if they run into problems. If you aren’t yet competent at decoupage yourself, you can learn together.

Children will usually prefer decoupaging different types of items to adults. A serving tray is likely to have little appeal, but a lunch box or moneybox would get lots of use. For a first project, it’s best to start with something small, and many children enjoy decorating blown eggs, and are fascinated with the process of blowing the eggs.

For very young children, you can use safety scissors with rounded ends. As these scissors make it more difficult to cut small areas accurately, you will need to choose simple images and shapes to work with. Comic books can make a good supply of images and, generally, the bold pictures will be easy to cut out.

As many children get bored easily, it’s worth taking a few moments to plan how the project is going to be done so they spend as little time waiting around as possible. Instead of cutting out all the images first and then after painting a surface, sitting around waiting for it to dry, paint the object first and the cutting can be done while it’s drying. Or you can have two projects on the go at once so that they can switch between them.

Getting rid of air bubbles can cause the greatest problems and the easiest tool for most children to use will be the back of a spoon. Rather than using varnish or lacquer to finish, it’s safer to use glue. Keep varnishes and paints out of reach of small children.

With a little forethought, decoupage is one of the safest crafts children can be involved in and it’s simple enough for them to produce pleasing results.

Decoupage how to do it?

Decoupage is a very simple kind of art crafts. If you know the basic steps like cutting and pasting then you can now start creating your creative decoupage project. All the steps will always starts with cutting pictures, magazine papers or anything that you want to be a part of your project design. Then you also need some glue or anything that will be use for pasting the cut papers and pictures into the design patters.

Decoupage Supplies and Materials

Yes, you can also buy some materials needed for your decoupage project if you have enough budget and you want to make it as a business projects for ordered products.

How to make decoupage?

Once you are ready with all the materials needed for your decoupage project you can now start following the step by step procedure I’m going to walk you through.

1. Make sure that all materials needed are present before you start. Check that the item you want to use as the pattern is purely dry. If you have painted on the item you want to use make sure that it is dry well before starting to decoupage it.

2. If you have all the pictures cut already start layering it nicely before adding some glue or paste.

3. Always do the layer simultaneously by doing it slowly in a small and manageable way. Remove all the pictures and apply the decoupage slowly to completely cover all the area that you will be placing the pictures.

4. Attach the pictures to the decoupage medium using your hands to gently push the pictures and press it for the best results.

5. Continue doing it until all are covered properly by decoupage medium. Once done you can now add some designs and coating for your liking.

6. Now let your decoupage dry completely.

Now that your project is doen you can give it away as a gift for wedding, baptisms or birthday or to a customer who ordered it to you if it is your business project. That is an easy step fro decoupaging.

How I can remove decoupage a wall painted?

I want to add a border to a wall painted decoupage, but I’m nervous about the removal process along the way. Is it just paint thinner? How strenuous is the process?

Yes I would worry too much because that is basically decoupage a slender tail. The last place I lived did and we had to gouge the walls just to get it off. We have tried everything under the sun to melt and nothing worked well we had to redo the paster walls. I suggest you use wallpaper paste or use prepasted borders.

how to decoupage a box?

I’m making a small box photo of a friend for her birthday, I use my proactiv wine box because it is a box-fresh, a sort of rolling type (you know bright guy) fiber, not necessarily want to decoupage, but I want you cover some kind of wrapping paper or paper notepad and (with a cool design), something that sticks forever, so I have to decoupage or I can use rubber cement or something, I do not always come off! any other ideas of ways to glue the paper to the box?

Decoupage is the best way you control the results. You can design different decoupage according to the outcome you want to make it.
